1.  Keep your Virus program updated.

2.  Download a spyware program,such as Spy-Bot Search and Destroy (open source) and keep it updated.

3. while using the computer for browsing don’t use an account that has administrator access.

4. Don’t click on links that have been sent to you by email, check where the links are coming from and navigate manually to the site.
